This blog is sort of a mirror to my actual blog which is www.huntsvillegotstarz.wordpress.com. Both blogs main purpose is to allow the world access to the growing music scene here in Huntsville, Alabama. In the world of social media it's hard to put a name on a target market. The main reader I'm looking for is that person who has a good ear for what is next, and not so much the playlist directed by Viacom and Clear Channel. Blogs are very valuable. With my company blog above I was able to give fans a centralized location for new and exclusive commentary on the music scene here. From that with in a years time I was able to land clients with spots on 2K Sports games, two Sony Pictures (Stomp the Yard 2 and Battle: LA), features in prints mags the Source, SPIN, NY Times, FADER, Wax Poetics, and many more. Today I don't know if this is as effective as two years ago for me personally, but it did prove effective at the time.
